Altadore is an upscale inner-city community in the city of Calgary. Infills are popular in this area because of the relative closeness to the downtown city centre. Crowchild trail also easily connects this community North and South. Located West of The Elbow River, and East of Crowchild Trail. Altadore is located just South of the very popular Marda Loop entertainment district, there is plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and trendy shops. Garrison Corner  includes: Safeway Garrison Woods, Village Ice Cream, David’s Tea, Float Life, Ripe Tomato Pizza.

The Manor Village at Garrison Woods is a senior’s retirement center in the area.

Schools in the community: Altadore School (K-6), Central Memorial High School  (10-12) is in the neighbouring community. There are no Catholic schools in the area, but Bishop Carroll High School is nearby (Richard Road), and St. James School (K-9) in Lakeview. Mount Royal University is located on the West side of Crowchild Trail. It is one of two Universities in the city of Calgary.
