Richmond is a inner city infill community located in the South West quadrant of the city of Calgary. Richmond is also known as Knob Hill. Crowchild Trail SW cuts between the community. It is also located on the West side of Marda Loop. 

Neighbouring communities to Richmond include: South Calgary, Bankview, Altadore, Shaganappi, Killarney, and Currie (AKA Currie Barracks. 

Area amenities include Marda Loop, Richmond Green Golf Course, and Calgary Arts Academy. Although the North side of the community ends at 17th Avenue, the entertainment district of 17th Ave (unofficially named the Red Mile from the 2004 Calgary Flames Hockey Team’s potential in the Stanley Cup Playoffs), it’s still a few blocks off, but is still relatively close within a 5 minute drive. Marda Loop is a trendy entertainment district in Calgary. Famous for it’s Mardi Gras Festival that happens every year.
