South Calgary is a community that is really popular and is also known as Marda Loop. Marda Loop Entertainment District is on the border of two communities South Calgary, and Altadore. 

Marda Loop is a trendy walkable area along 33rd Avenue filled with shops, fitness studios (Yoga, Spin, Barre Workouts, restaurants, cafes, and other services. Marda Gras that is an annual event that is local to this community (a FREE family-friendly event attracts over 35,000 visitors from all over Calgary in August https://www.visitmardaloop.com/events/marda-gras-street-festival/).

Marda Loop also hosts part of the Beakerhead Annual Celebration in September.

The streets that define this community is 26th Avenue to the North, 33rd Avenue (Marda Loop) to the South, 14th Street to the East and Crowchild Trail to the West. More or the less, the community is pretty uniform, and the streets and avenues are equal distances.
