Bridgeland/Riverside is a top rated, inner city community in the city of Calgary. It is located just North East of Downtown Calgary, bounded by Memorial Drive, Deerfoot Trail, and Edmonton Trail. Bridgeland is rich in history:

The community of Riverside was once established by Russian-German Immigrants and was known as Germantown. Immigrants of Italian and Ukranian Origin live in this community. Officially part of the City of Calgary in 1910, that was also the year that the Calgary General Hospital was built in this area. It was closed in 1997 and was demolished in a controlled explosion on October 4, 1998, now is a green space surrounded with mixed-use multi-residential properties (Retail with Condominiums units).
