Glendale is a community in the South West quadrant of the city of Calgary. It is just considered as an inner-city community and a popular one of young professionals. Glendale community is bound by 17th Avenue SW or 26th Avenue SW via North/South, and 37th Street SW, and Sarcee Trail via East/West.
Glendale has plenty of greenspace throughout the community. Optimist Athletic Park, Optimist/George Blundun Arenas, and St. Gregory School are located in the South West Quadrant of the City.
Area amenities to Glendale include the 45th Street C-Train Station. The West LRT provides convenient and direct access to the Downtown Core. A local strip mall includes a variety of restaurants, a local grocery store, Shopper’s Drug Mart, Veterinary Hospital, Tim Horton’s, TD Canada Trust Branch, Esso Gas Station. Other local stores include Fabutan/Hush Lash Studio, Crafted Burgers & Beer, and Pho Huong Viet (popular Vietnamese Restaurant). Along 37th Avenue, there are a ton of shops, and Westbrook Mall is located along that road that borders Glendale Community. Westbrook Mall is a great local mall that has a Walmart, Library Nearby and many other amenities that you would never need to go too far to be close to home.
