    Windsor Park is a popular inner city infill community because of the relative proximity to amenities. The communities that surround Windsor Park is a variety areas, bungalow style – to  luxurious – to top estate communities in Calgary including Britannia, Elboya, Bel-Aire, Mayfair, and Meadowlark Park.

    Parks including Calgary Golf & Country Club, Sandy Beach Park, and Riverdale Park that snake around the Elbow River are great places to hang out that are boarding the community of Windsor Park. 

    CF Chinook Centre is just South of the community and one of the biggest shopping centres in Calgary, as well as the busiest. They have a variety of stores including high-end stores, a cinema theatre, tons of restaurants and a food court with a variety of cuisines. There are also a plethora of restaurants along Macleod Trail

    Macleod Trail is just East of the community of Windsor Park, and it is a major corridor to the Downtown Core. Downtown is also accessible through Elbow Drive (and 4th Street in Mission), which runs through the community. Glenmore Trail also connects this community easily East/West. Continual improvements with Glenmore Trail will improve traffic and connectivity for the area. The Chinook LRT/C-Train Station is also a really quick walk or drive from the community. 

    Public Schools that cater to this community include: Elboya School (K-9), and Western Canada High School (10-12).

    Catholic Schools that cater to this community include: St. Augustine School (K-9), and Bishop Grandin High School (10-12). St. Matthew School (K-9), and St. Gerard School (K-6) are also relatively closeby.
