Hillhurst is an inner-city community in the City of Calgary located just North West of the Downtown Core. Hillhurst is a community that is also known as Kensington. Kensington Calgary is a trendy street full of cafes, restaurants, shops, boutiques. There is so much to do in Kensington and is worth spending an afternoon during the weekend checking it out. 

Hillhurst is one of those special communities that has it all. Grocery stores (Safeway, Sunnyside Natural Market), LRT with direct access to Downtown (Sunnyside Station), Banks, Gas Station, Fitness Centres, Restaurants (local and international favourites – from Dives to High-End Luxury), Condos, Luxury Estates, Hotels, Board Game Cafes, even a Cat Cafe! Christmas in Kensington is a romantic time to walk around this community. Also the Sun & Salsa Festival is a large festival that happens along Kensington and 10th Street NW. Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a post secondary institution located on the North side of the community of Hillhurst. And the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (Jubilee) is also located near SAIT. There are also two large parks with beautiful views of downtown just South of SAIT and Jubilee, Riley Park, and Hillhurst Sunnyside Park. The Hillhurst Sunnyside Park holds place of the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association where they hold a lot of events during the year, and an outdoor Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays during the summer.
