    Bowness is a community in the North West side of the city of Calgary. The neighbourhood is bounded by the Bow River to the north and east, Highway 1 (16th Avenue) to the South and Stoney Trail to the West . Did you know that Bowness was once it’s own town separate from the city of Calgary? It was amalgamated and part of the city of Calgary officially in  1964.
